Great contest! My Valentine is my wife, Mary. We eloped on Valentines Day in 1992 and have been happily married ever since. We have five children now, and each day is better than the last!
A fun thing about Mary is she shares my sense of humor. For example, when our parents found out we eloped, both our families were upset with us for not giving them a wedding. We caved and gave them a full-blown wedding ceremony, but we held it on April 1st (Fool’s Day) and purposely started late to make our parents sweat!

My special Vaentine is my wife. We were married 22 years and had some hard times last year as most of us did. We seperated for a year and realized during Thanksgiving we missed each other too much. So its January now and we just moved back in together so she is my special valentine since we werent together last year.

My husband is my valentine. One Valentine’s Day I came home from work to find he had prepared a romantic Valentine’s Day supper. There was a Christmas tablecloth on the table, candles on the table and the meal was TV dinners.
My Valentine is my husband, Josh. One funny Valentine’s story: He was nervous all day on Valentine’s day in 2008. He said he had a big meeting with some big-wigs at his job (he worked for a large international company) and that his future depended on the outcome of the meeting. We had been talking marriage and I commented that this meeting was nothing compared to the talk he was going to have to have with my parents to ask for my hand in marriage. Little did I know his meeting was really a nice dinner with my folks to discuss this very issue. He later said that any shot of his nerves calming down was ruined by my comment. Luckily, they were thrilled.
My hubby of 30 years is my Valentine. Our youngest son was born the day before Valentines and hubby showed up at the hospital on Valentine’s Day with a massive red teddy bear and a dozen red roses. That was my favorite Valentine’s Day.

My husband, John, is my Valentine. We have been together for 8 years & have 2 children ages 3 and 6 together. What is funny about husband is his very blunt sense of humor. It’s like the part of his brain that let’s him know that “hey, you can’t say that” is not working. He takes after his mother on that and when the family gets together it is a rolling, laughing good time. Not only is my husband funny, he is very giving to his family. My husband works a full-time graveyard shift, takes both of our children back and forth to school (each on different time schedules), takes our youngest back and forth to therapy, works on the business that he is starting and still often finds the time to bring me lunch (Steak & Lobser)and flowers at my work. John helps his mother out a lot taking her back and forth to her doctor appointments, getting her medications and doing her grocery shopping and bill paying. My husband John will always jump in willingly to do the dirty work of changing a diaper or unclogging a toilet. I’ve never in my life known someone who works so hard and is so giving and he does it all with a positive attitude, a smile on his face, and with something funny to say about everything. When I’m having a bad day, he always makes it better. My Husband truly is my funny valentine because he his not only incredibly romantic, but he is hillariously funny. He has taught me that when things are tough, you got to laugh about and have a sense of humor otherwise you’ll go crazy.

My husband of 15 years is my Valentine. He is very creative, and uses “odds and ends” we have laying around the house to make amusing gifts for those that matter. Once, several years ago, he got around my aversion to receiving fresh cut flowers (arising out of the fact that, from men, they usually preceded an apology) by making a “man” (bits of this and that) with a bouquet of intricately cut out flowers (scrap paper), and attaching him to an old RC car to deliver a Valentines message to me. I never know what gift I might get on any special occasion, but I do know it will be unique!

When I was hospitalized after a serious car accident that left me with a crushed face and unable to walk, my husband came to my hospital room, put me in a wheelchair, wrapped me in a blanket and pushed me down the streets of Seattle to his motel room where after two months we had a moment alone. Then the hospital called him. They were looking for me….oops! He had to take me back. I love him so much!

My lil’ girl is my Valentine. I have a 21 and 19 year old and was told (due to cancer) that I could never have children again. After a severe trauma, I had a little girl, my miracle baby and she has made getting over the trauma easier. She lifts me up when I’m done, she’s always appreciative, always helpful like folding hand towels. She even tells me “mommy breath” (then closes her eyes and breathes in her nose and out her mouth) when I’m upset with something. lol The best part is, she’s barely 3 years old! <3 <3 My sweet precious Valentine!
